With broken hearts, we say goodbye to Tucker, a beloved Black Lab and very best friend for nearly 14 years.
Tucker didn’t just live in Manassas. He was part of Manassas.
He loved his morning walks past the VRE, where he dreamed of catching the train with the commuters. He hiked the battlefields, explored Old Town, visited the local bars, sampled the local grub, and attended parades, often distracting performers with his festive ensembles. He proudly posed beneath his banners and even knew which stores kept water bowls outside for him.
Everywhere Tucker went, he made friends. He had a way of making himself known and leaving a little piece of himself with everyone he met.
Tucker was so much more than a dog. He was a companion, a constant, and a best friend. For nearly 14 years, he brought love, joy, and countless memories to those lucky enough to know him.
Manassas was Tucker’s town, and we were incredibly lucky to share it with him.
Tucker is survived by his mom, Evan; his auntie, Cara; and his grandparents, Bill and Donna.
Swim and run free, sweet boy. You will be loved and missed forever.
