What Happened
The Osbourn High School baseball team has been named a recipient of the 2025–26 American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award.
The national award recognizes high school and college baseball programs whose players maintained a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
More than 320 high school programs nationwide received the recognition for 2025–26.
Osbourn Head Varsity Baseball Coach Andrew Haden said the achievement reflects expectations that extend beyond baseball.
“I am incredibly proud of this program. Our players continue to put in the work both in the classroom and on the field, and this award is a reflection of their commitment and dedication. They have earned this recognition.”
Haden said the program expects its players to succeed academically as well as athletically.
“We expect our players to excel in the classroom as well as on the diamond, and the most rewarding part for me as a coach is seeing our players succeed in both areas while also becoming better people.”
He added that the program’s larger goal reaches beyond a player’s final season at Osbourn.
“When their playing careers at Osbourn are finished, our goal is for every player to leave our program as a better person and be prepared for whatever comes next.”
A Continuing Record
This year’s honor continues a strong academic run for Osbourn Baseball.

That marks at least four consecutive years of national academic recognition for the Eagles.
What’s Next
Osbourn’s players will return for another school year with the same standard their coach described: compete on the field, succeed in the classroom and leave the program prepared for what comes next.
